The crown prince of Benin Kingdom Eheneden Erediauwa, has been crowned the 39th Oba of Benin Kingdom at about 2am on thursday after fulfilling all traditional requirements and rites by the Usama N'Ihiron, also known as the Edion and led by Chief Oliha.
Other members of the Edion are Edohen, Ezomo, Ero, Eholo N’Ire, Oloton and the Edaiken.
The coronation was done at a private ceremony inside the Usama Palace, which was erected temporarily for the coronation ceremony.
The new Oba wore the crown and covered his mouth with a white handkerchief. Fireworks were also heard during the period of the coronation in the area.

Oshiomhole did not quickly understand what happened even when the guest laughed at his mistake bt few minutes, he was able correct himself as he made a joke out of the situation
